COMMITMENT LETTER

On behalf of my school, named ____________________________________________ I certify that I have full financial responsibility for the school. I understand that false or partial statements may result in cancellation of this Grant. Further, I understand that:

My schools shall be responsible for raising ___ % of the amount of this Grant(minimum 10%), i.e. Rs._______ as a matching contribution.

My school shall raise ____% of the amount of this Grant i.e. Rs._______ as a loan from a bank, or financial institution (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO RECEIVE FUTURE AWARDS).

My school is receiving, all or a part of this Grant as a loan, and shall repay Vishal Himalaya Foundation an amount equal to Rs.______ at 0% interest, over a period of ___ (maximum 5) years. (FOR GUARANTEED AWARD OF FUNDS).

My school will spend these funds only for the purposes as approved. Any funds left unspent at the end of the year (typically June 30) shall be returned to Vishal Himalaya Foundation.

My school will present all invoices and truthful expenses to VHF's Akola office for reimbursement, or direct payment to vendors.

I further certify that as a precondition to receiving this Grant,

That my school has a healthy teacher body that functions in close cooperation.
That my school has a formal volunteer program involving students and teachers. As part of this program, each student shall plant and nurture at least one tree each year, to be eventually donated to a park or a forest.
That my school participates in this Foundation's ChitraCar video-on-wheels video education program.
That my school has at least one or more teachers who participate or will participate in this Foundation's Teachers' Center activities.
That my school is a participant (or commits to be) in the Foundation-sponsored Gender Sensitivity program, lead by Dr. Kalamkar of Jagruti school, Ranpise Nagar, Akola; and
That my school puts strong emphasis on physical health through vigorous sports for boys AND girls.
